It’s one of the first crisp days of Fall. The leaves have not started to fall, but the temperature has. But I couldn’t spend all day curled up under a warm blanket.

I was off to Holley Falls, in the small town of Holley, New York. Even though it is only ten minutes down the road, this is my first time in Holley. The town was quaint.

The first thing I saw was a self-service produce stand, where you take your vegetables and leave the money. It was such an odd concept to me because I have never seen that before. It’s nice to know that there is a community out there where they can trust there residents enough to be able to have the stand be self-service.

The waterfall was situated in a small park along the Erie Canal. This cascading waterfall is a gem of the area and a must see for locals. I have gone too long ignoring this serene location. I would tell myself I will see it one day. I am glad I made that one day, today.
